FiestaZetec09
Hi every one I've got a ford fiesta zetec 1.4 petrol, 2009 3door hatchback, does my car have AUX? I have a hole for it next to my hand break, but I bought an AUX cable and it doesn't seem to fit into the hole (AUX cable seems to be to small/not fat enough) also when I press the AUX button on my dash it does nothing, a friend told me with it been the Zetec it should have it, is it a different kind of AUX cable I need ? Or doesn't my car have it, thanks :)

Tiexen
It is the same size as a headphone socket - what are you plunging into the other end - mp3 player - mobile phone?
AlexBartlam
if its a aux it should be a 3.5mm jack these can be bought from halfords for like £3 braided cable and in different colors or shop about online for cheaper options.

alexp999
Possible that the actual jack socket has fallen away from the hole.

alexp999
Looks fine to me, are you sure you are using 3.5mm? Do you have any headphones you can try plugging in to test fitment?

alexp999
Perhaps it was well used by the previous owner. Not sure what to suggest other than getting to the other side of it, to see if it looks intact,

alexp999
Not sure whether that section it is fixed too can easily come out on its own or not. I know the bit around the gear stick just unclips upwards, but if you don't get the angle perfect you can bust some clips. I ended up replacing it when I pulled mine off - it went back on okay, but I always had the niggle some of the clips were broken, lol. karl46
Doesn't the small panel that the plug is in not just lever out. Carefully.
