Build no 597 back to life after 5 years, wish my dad could have seen & heard her, he would have been proud!

Thank you, just lots of little jobs here and there for us to complete over the winter then hopefully back on the road next summer in time for the 30th anniversary.

Glad to hear that Dales. This will be a labour of love getting Dad's baby concourse (or as close as) again. New battery and she started first time....and what a sweet sound! ☺

Those done in memory always feel so much better and more proud than any other restoration

My mate few yrs ago had the 280 Brooklands edition. It was truly awesome & pristine.

My brother had a few capris years ago. He started with a red & silver 1.6 Calypso (sadly got broken due to no one wanting it), then had a Black 2.8i which he found out had suffered huge accident damage in its past, after he crashed it but rebuilt it then sold it on (then got smashed a 3rd time). He then had another black 2.8i which he sold about 10 years ago to a guy who said he was going to restore it & has been SORN ever since.

He misses his capri's but every time something broke, it went off the road for several days & he needed the car every day.

Bless he didn't seem to have much luck with his Capris!😕

The Brooklands 280 photographed was my Dad's since 1993, but was Sorn since 2011 or so. He passed away (too young!) in September so I have taken her on as a little project. Not a lot needed on her thankfully before she can take to the road again in the spring.
