Hsn97
Hiya, I’ve had a street KA for about 4 years now and absolutely loved the car to pieces. About 3 weeks ago, someone crashed into the front of it and when it was being repair it revealed a lot of rust and rot in the wheel arch, which I was told would make it fail its next MOT. In hind sight I should have just forked out to get it welded, because I loved the car so much. But I listened to everyone else, and traded it in for a Mini Roadster which I hate the more I drive it. I want my KA back, but I’m outside the window to roll back the deal on the roadster. I’ve thought about getting another Street KA, but my family are dead set against it because this is the second KA now I’ve had that has rotted. Does anyone have any other recommendations for cars like the street KA. Already looked at the Vauxhall Tigra and I’m not a fan. Also looked at a MX5 which I liked the exterior of but not so much the interior, particularly the centre console. I really like the Daihatsu Copen but apparently they also rust badly. Many Thanks Hannah
TomsFocus
There aren't many new small cabriolets now I think about it. The only other ones I can think of around the Millennium suffer from rust as well, MG TF and Suzuki Cappuccino. You didn't mention budget so I'm not sure how far we can go with that? I'm thinking BMW Z4 or Mercedes SLK may be out of budget? If it's the handling you're missing then I don't think any of the lardy hatchbacks with the roof chopped off will be suitable.
