maton91
Hi all, I have a 72 reg Ford Kuga. I need to add some screen wash but I can't as the bonnet won't open. The bonnet latch on the nearside front door just feels light when you pull it towards you as if it isn't doing anything so for some reason it isn't working properly What is the best way to open the bonnet manually in the interim until I can arrange a dealer to repair please? Need to do some long-ish journeys in the next few days so any immediate help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help!
TomsFocus
Hopefully the cable has just come off the internal lever. You can pull the cable using needle nose pliers if you can still see it above the lever. You may even be able to refit it again. If it's come off at the bonnet end then you've got a much bigger problem. Need to reach up from underneath to pull the bonnet catch directly. alanfp
Good luck. If you find you can't fix it before your long drive, take a spray bottle of water and allow additional time for pulling over to clear your screen. Don't take chances on forward vision.
