Ford Focus ST (2010 model) DAB Amplifiier location...

Hi All,

After some fault finding (and swearing), I think I have an issue with my DAB amplifier shorting out.  When I disconnect the Fakra connector from the back of the Sony head unit, the device is fine, plays CDs, radio, bluetooth, etc but when I reconntect the Fakra connector, the radio is flashing on and off all the time.  Does my car have a DAB amplifier and if so....where have Ford hidden it?

Yes it will have an aerial amplifier/isolator unit. Usually located in the top edge of the tailgate. The inside trim along the top of the tailgate just pulls off. You should find two amp/iso units one for FM and the other DAB.
