Hi there!

I changed the battery in my key fob yesterday as it was saying it was low. Is there anything I’m meant to do afterwards as now it’s not working at all 🤦🏻‍♀️

Many thanks for any help

Check it's the right way up

Check you have removed the clear protective film on it so it makes a good contact with the fob (use nail polish remover or similar)

Check that it is touching the metal tabs of the battery holder.

Check the battery is good and pushing out 3.3v (just because it's new, don't assume it's good)

Needs no programming, should work straight away...

Hi Nikki,

Stephen's covered all the points there, but just to amplify:

- Residue left after removing any film or sticker is not always obvious so do clean it as suggested

- "dud" batteries are not uncommon even with well known brands from reputable sources. Several instances of fake Duracells have also been reported.
