Vindie
My 2013 C-Max SEL backup light stopped working. Upon inspection found what looks like corrosion in the socket, but I have not found a fix online. Can I replace the socket? Or repair it? Corrosion can be seen in the upper right part of the socket.

Use a very fine sandpaper to rub the corrosion gently off, until you get back to good shiny metal. Use a dose of WD40 as well to displace any moisture in the socket.
