My 2013 C-Max SEL backup light stopped working. Upon inspection found what looks like corrosion in the socket, but I have not found a fix online. Can I replace the socket? Or repair it? Corrosion can be seen in the upper right part of the socket.spacer.png

Sound advice. But if the OP wants, you can try and clean it. Use a very fine sandpaper to rub the corrosion gently off, until you get back to good shiny metal. Use a dose of WD40 as well to displace any moisture in the socket.
