does anyone know how to remove this part, as mine keeps falling down as the catch does not work.

From memory but don't quote me on this one..

If you open the door bit and look up near the obd plug..I think there was a screw to remove then it falls forward un just Unclipped from the base.....or that was on my old passat I owned
