Battery replacement

If i replace the car battery in my 2016 Mondeo  2.0 desiel estate do i need to do anything else other than installing the battery.

You will need to reset the battery Monitor System (BMS). Not sure on your 2016 model if you need method 1 or method 2

just found this topic and have discovered i need a new battery fitted to my 2019 plate mondeo vignale that has stop/stop and keyless entry/locking 

I know that its not just a case of swapping over from old to new battery as i can do this myself, but it all seems to point to it needs reprogramming as well, was wondering if this is what is being shown here ?  if so can i use method two ?  or will i need to take it somewhere in order for them to plug in some kind of Gismo in order for everthing to be programmed correctly and to function correctly. plus it costing a considerable amount of money for what seems would take two minutes to carry out. 

as im too frightened to try any method as i fear i could make any matters worse as im not electrically minded in any way.

Very simple job on a 2019 Mondeo.

1. Buy new Yuasa battery.   https://www.tayna.co.uk/car-batteries/?gad_source=1
2. Charge new battery for at least 12 hours
3. Fit new battery to car [ Disconnect the Negative lead first. Then connect the Negative lead last ]
4. Reset the Battery Monitor System (BMS) using the method shown in the video (yes I know that it's a Fiesta, it makes no difference).
5. Lastly put the kettle on 👍
