fridge67 Posted June 8 Share Posted June 8 2012 1.6 ti-vct where is the coolant sensor, reading my haynes manual its supposed to be on the coolant pipe under the air box around the gearbox. i cant see it. i do have what looks like a coolant sensor that screws into the head on the gearbox side just around where the coil pact is fitted. anyone know what this sensor is for ? thanks for your thoughts Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Yes that's the coolant temp sensor with a light grey plug. It's fitted into the plastic pipe joiner under the coil pack. The sensor is not screwed in, despite having a 'nut' shape.
