2.2 S-Max: P02E9, P246B, P2463 DTC codes

Hello All,

First post here so hoping I'm in the right spot/Forum!

I've recently experienced the P20E9, P246B and P2462 codes which in turn have illuminated the engine management light. Previously the P20E9 "Diesel intake Air Flow Position Sensor Circuit High" wasn't logged and having seen the P246B and P2462 codes before when the fuel vaporiser was blocked I swapped it again for a new one and checked the 5A fuse which was fine but this hasn't solved the issue. Wondering if anyone has seen the P20E9 DTC before and if so how did they fix it? I've done some research and seen the sensor is part of the throttle body which are prone to failure, and when turning off the vehicle you can hear the throttle body still energised for a good time after.

Does the P20E9 DTC also cause the reason for the regen conditions not being met? I've ordered a new throttle body in preparation but wanted to see if anyone else had seen this problem.

  • P20E9 - Diesel intake Air Flow Position Sensor Circuit High
  • P246B - Vehicle conditions incorrect for Diesel particulate filter regeneration
  • P2462 - Diesel Particulate Filter - Soot Accumulation

Thanks in advance,

Dan B.

Hey Dan_B1990

Just curious to know if you ever resolved this issue?

I have a similar issue with my S-max.

Cheers

Mat
