Ford Fiesta 1.6 TDCI injector renewal price.

Hello! I am contacting you because I feel that the mechanic is asking for an irrelevant amount for the complete renovation of the Bosch CR injector. He claims all 4 are bad. The car was running fine.

Sometimes only 3 cylinders went, that's why I took it to the service center. I doubt that all 4 injectors are bad.

Approximately how much would it cost to renew the injectors per piece?

Rough prices:

Brand new injector - £200 each

Reconditioned injector - £100 each

Reconditioning of your existing injector - £100 each

The mechanic would charge 155 gbp for 1 piece.

It also says that all 4 injectors are bad. But the car started perfectly, it had so many problems that the idle speed jumped when starting.

However, when the rpm was higher, the car worked perfectly.

I doubt that all 4 injectors are bad.

What do you think?

After 1 injector fails at this age, others often fail soon after.  You can choose to start with 1 and see how it goes though.

You don't say whether that price is brand new or reconditioned.  Or whether it includes removal and refitting.

It's just a bad injector overhaul. without unpacking and putting back.

Ok, that does sound a bit expensive then.  It's probably cheaper to buy a refurbished injector instead.

Or if you do want to have yours refurbished, maybe contact Diesel Bob to see what price he would charge for that.

Don't forget the 20% vat on top of the prices... 🤔

Maybe your injectors cost more to overhaul due to the cost of replacement parts.
