AshleyR
The Ford wiring diagrams are super useful, but have some annotations I can't figure out that seem to be Ford-specific, given all I find are Ford schematics when I try search for them. Take, for example, the well-known Ford Focus Mk2.5 cruise control circuit on page 84 of the Focus MY 2010 C307 schematic: C103 and C896 are connector block IDs, with 10 & 18 and 4 & 5 being the pins used in each block. 14401 is the wiring harness ID. For the wires themselves, 9-PG13 and 8-PG13 seem to be wire IDs, while BN and WH is shorthand for the colours of the wires, brown and white in this case. The bit I can't work out is what WA 0.35 means. Various other numbers and letters are used throughout the diagrams, including WK, FWK, WE, TW, etc. Can someone fill me in, or is maybe there a key or legend that explains what all the annotations mean? The number is, (as far as I know) the size of the wire conductor. The letters may refer to the type of wire insulation used. For example WA = PVC with a temp range of -20oC to +80oC but that is just an assumption.
troy45
Got a feeling it’s the wire gauge or thickness
iantt
The numbers are the thickness of the wire in mm2
iantt
There's no indication what wa is for.
