Warwick
I'm having issues with vibration associated with the engine on my Focus Zetec 1.8 Estate. It is largely noticeable on tick over. Please can anyone inform me how many engine mountings are fitted on this car. I know that there is one at each side of the engine. There is one located below the area of the cooling water reservoir. the other is located at the opposite side of the engine below the battery / air filter. I'm unsure if there is another located at the rear of the engine / gearbox. I think that there is on some models (Perhaps the 2 litre model). I have already replaced the mount below the water reservoir. This has slightly improved the level of vibration, but not cured it. I now intend to replace the mount below the battery / air filter. If there is an additional mount, I'd be most grateful if someone can verify that. Many thanks

Indeed there is; according to my copy of the Haynes manual (2005-2011 petrol edition) such a third ("roll restrictor") mount exists on 1.4, 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 litre models.
TomsFocus
There is a lower mount on all engines, but it doesn't do much for vibration. It's main purpose is to stop the engine swinging back & forth under acceleration and braking. Very easy to change as you don't need to support the engine for that one.
