Transmission Limited Function error

Hi I have a 2013 ford Mondeo 2 litre diesel , one morning started it up and an error transmission limited function appeared and the car went into limp mode.Turned engine off and restarted and everything is going great , had scan done and no error log came up. It has 77,000 Km on the clock and a full service on gearbox was done at 66,000 km. I has happened twice in a month each time a restart fixes the problem,any ideas what might be causing this issue?

Check all your earth points are clean and good

If it hasn't had a new battery for a while then I would suspect the battery is going down

Did the Ford dealer do the scan or was it a generic code reader? I ask 'cos the generic ones won't pick up Ford-specific codes.
