martylad77
Hi folks. Please can somebody help with Mk7 fiesta parts interoperability. My son bought a 2011 Fiesta and it turned out to have a faulty hazard warning button built into the stereo fascia. The mechanic advised upgrading to the piano black Sony head unit so he paid for the bundle, head unit, fascia and display but the display wouldn't illuminate. I think he installed the Mk7.5 2012+ model and after thinking the display was faulty and installing a full new bundle myself, I found the display still won't work. This is where I'm at, I'm hoping that if I go back to the original head unit (AA6T-18C815-AD) and display (AA6T-18B955-AA) as in the images, that I could then simply replace the fascia (previously with a dodgy hazard warning light button) with the silver winged Sony fascia from a 2008-2013 Mk7 model like this one (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/194879888217?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=jUS2SSVBRoy&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=QzmcAfEqR7e&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY) rather than going back and buying another of the ugly old basic fascia the car was originally fitted with. Does anybody know if this is possible or do I need to buy fascia, head unit and display all over again? I hope somebody can help and thanks in advance.
