Mar4ix
Hi folks trying find coolant leak. There is no obvious leaks. Not using car yet, as do some other job (door wing bumper replacement, interior strip and clean), car parked fo a month. Half of coolant tank is empty. I do occasionally start car and letting idle for an hour. But can't really find obvious coolant leaks. Is there typical places were coolant gets away from system? F0CUE
Check your driver side carpet is not wet as it could be leaking from the heater matrix.
Focus_
What year is it? As mentioned above check your footwells for coolant caused by leaking matrix O-Rings. If that's fine I'd be getting a pressure tester on it, it could be anything but prime suspects next for me would be water pump (as with any coolant leak on any car) thermostat housing or radiator. They're the main things to check and look out for on a pressure test
Mar4ix
Thanks guys for info. Car is 1.6 diesel. 2008. Mk2.5. Footwell dry. Just changed timing belt with water pump. It's all dry there. Probably will have to invest in to coolant pressure tester.

It's probably just air bleeding through, the 1.6HDi is a nightmare to bleed and to do it the official way there's a special tool but this isn't really needed. Just top-up, run it with heaters on max to bleed more air through and keep repeating until theres no more fluid loss or you find a leak
