Key battery message won’t stop popping up

I got the ‘key low battery’ warning on the display, so I replaced the fob battery but the warning message still pops up every time I start the car.

My head is telling me to disconnect the car battery and give the system a reset but I’ve been told not to do this arbitrarily and knowing the Ecoboost something tells me that’ll only cause more issues because it’s rubbish

The solution found for a Fiesta mark 8 (so may not be the same), was to lock and unlock the car three times in succession with the key fob which reset the battery low warning. I don't know if it works on yours but give it a try

That seems to have fixed it, thanks!
